SENIOR CAPACITY INSIDE YOUR TEAM
Embedded Design Leadership and Delivery
Senior design leadership inside your team, not advice from outside it.
Start the ConversationSenior design hires take months to find and longer to land. A contractor fills the seat, then takes the seniority with them when they go. I do something different: I step into your team as a design leader, run the work, and build the people around me, so the seniority stays after the contract ends.
What I take on
Leading the work itself: research, service design and delivery, run at a standard your team can keep. Covering a leadership gap while you hire, or while the organisation works out what the role should be. Standing up a new design function, or restarting one that has stalled.
How I work
I use your tools, join your ceremonies, and work with the people you already have.
My background before design was in project management, so I work with teams to translate insight into work they can actually deliver.
Capability transfer happens naturally along the way. Working in the team day to day, people pick up the ways of working, the standards and the techniques as we deliver together.
What stays
When the engagement ends, you keep three things. The work itself, in market or in motion. The ways of working the team absorbed while we built it together. People who have seen senior design leadership up close, on their own problems.
Results
I have done this job from the inside. Before RuminX, I built AGL's design function from scratch and scaled RACV's established practice. Both are still running years after I left, and both organisations have since brought me back as a consultant.

Most of my work is in Melbourne and Geelong, and I work Australia-wide when the engagement calls for it.
